Sponsorship Information
As a public, not-for-profit, utility we are unable to make donations, but we do consider sponsorships if the opportunity provides value to both our organization and the community as a whole. We also consider partnerships that allow us to promote the benefits of natural gas, and the products or services we provide.

Sponsorship support is not available to: individuals, religious programs of churches or other sectarian organizations; political events, parties, candidates or causes; advocacy or labor organizations; organizations that discriminate by race, creed, gender, age or national origin; youth sports organizations; travel expenses or general operating expenses.

Free Field Trips and Resources for Teachers

National Energy Foundation (NEF)
Academy of Natural Gas Education
York County Natural Gas Authority, in partnership with the NEF, is pleased to provide teachers with a collection of instructional materials for students on the many exciting advances in energy and technology.
The materials have been developed by teachers for the purpose of supplementing classroom instruction and contain learning activities that are correlated to STEM skills and behaviors.
The NEF Academy packets are available for all grade levels, but program sponsorship is limited.

JUST FOR KIDS: Join in the fun and learn more about America’s energy. Log on and download a home safety checklist or play online games like Gas Dash. You can even get information on energy related careers.
YMCA Kicking With Confidence
In partnership with the Upper Palmetto YMCA, York County Natural Gas sponsors the Kicking With Confidence Swim Program for Rock Hill, Clover and Fort Mill School Districts. Students in the fourth grade receive 4-5 swim lessons at the areas Aquatics Centers during the school day. The Aquatics Center pools use efficient and reliable natural gas energy to quickly heat and maintain the desired temperature to allow year-round swimming. Students who go through the program are taught valuable, life-saving skills.
Culture & Heritage Museums Field Trip Program!
York County Natural Gas sponsors field trips for 4th & 5th Graders to the Culture & Heritage Museum. The program, titled – Ice Age Stories – is offered to Title One eligible schools in York County and includes a 90-minute visit to the Ice Age exhibit, the Naturalist Center lab along with a Planetarium program. The ticket price is included in the sponsorship along with a supplement to help with transportation cost. The program has a limited number of tickets available, so teachers are encouraged to book early. Want more information? See program flier.
In addition to the field trip, York County Natural Gas will also provide an IN-CLASS presentation on natural gas to include the properties of natural gas, how it provides energy for our homes, businesses and even other energy sources (like electricity). Life takes energy – we explain energy resources with worksheets and hands-on activities that also include how to be energy safe. The presentation includes several interactive activities as well: Making and compressing gas; How a banana is like a pipeline; SC811 Pirate video; and even a tree planting with a demonstration on how underground utility lines are located. Public Safety & First Responders
We are committed to safeguarding our people, our neighbors, the environment and our facilities. Safety is fundamental to everything we do and a key focus for our workforce.
TRAINING
We provide training and instruction to first responders annually, and upon special request. Our annual meetings are typically held in November, but if your department would like specific training on natural gas, please contact us to schedule.
NEWSLETTERS
The Pipeline Connection newsletter for Emergency Responders is published yearly with news, tips and information to help responders better understand natural gas and how to respond to a gas emergency, if necessary.
RESOURCES
Through our Public Awareness program we provide pipeline safety information and offer scratch-n-sniff cards to help residents identify the smell of natural gas.
